College Ministry: Panel Discussion

Why is there evil in the world? Can I trust my Bible? How should Christians interact with culture? These are all questions looming large on our college campuses. We want to help both college students and rising seniors begin to wrestle with, and form answers to, these questions. Most importantly, we want to begin the conversation from a Biblical worldview. On July 25, 2012 the College Ministry at Christ Community Church will be hosting a panel discussion on these very issues. We have invited 3 professors from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a few of our faithful students to come and give a clear picture of how college students can retain a growing faith on their campus. After our panel discussion, we will open the floor for questions. If you are a college student, or rising senior, we would love for you to join us at 6:30PM for supper before the panel. 40 Hours of Prayer

Don’t forget to sign up for our 40 Hours of Prayer at the 40 Days of Prayer Information Center. This event features six prayer rooms that will lead you in a prayer exercise that focuses on the six elements of prayer taught in the Lord’s Prayer. It will take one hour to go through these prayer rooms in six 10 minute exercises. You will be able to do this as an individual, couple, family, small group, etc. Time slots begin every 10 minutes.

Come and hit the slopes with the Young Adult Ministry! On January 8th, 2011 we are heading up to Winterplace Ski Resort to enjoy some snow and drink some hot Chocolate

Young Adults Ski Retreat

Hit the slopes with the Young Adult Ministry on our Ski Retreat. We are heading up to Winterplace Ski Resort this coming January to enjoy the slopes, and more importantly, connect with other young adults who are following Jesus. We will drive up Friday, January 7, spend some time worshiping together in a large gathering room we have reserved, then hit the slopes all day Saturday. This ski package includes lodging, meal ticket at the resort, lift ticket, and your choice of either skiing, snowboarding, or snow tubing.

WHO: Limited to the first 25 Young Adults (post high school- 29) who register with a $25 deposit.

WHAT: Ski Retreat and Evening of Worship

WHERE: Winterplace Ski Resort in Beckley WVA

WHEN: Friday, January 7th thru Saturday January 8

COST: $125
