The Youth Ministry of Christ Community Church is in need of nine additional Student Small Group Leaders on Wednesday nights (beginning this Fall)! We need adults who are relational and enjoy getting to know the students by name and care for them on a weekly basis. This commitment is for two semesters. The first semester is from Wednesday, September 7th through Wednesday, November 16th (an 11 week commitment). The second semester is from Wednesday, February 1st through Wednesday, April 4 (a 10 week commitment). We provide all of the curriculum and training you will need.
We’re not looking for the “perfect” small-group leader; we’re looking for youth workers who are introverts, extroverts, parents, musicians, bowlers, computer nerds, athletes, artists, busy people, entrepreneurs, senior citizens, blue collar workers, people with rough pasts, butchers, bakers, candlestick makers. The point is… if you love God and have a heart for students, the youth ministry is a great place to serve. Duffy Robbins (one of my youth ministry heroes) once said, “Teenagers don’t need adults who act like teenagers, they need adults who don’t freak out when teenagers act like teenagers.”
We need 4 adult men and 5 adult women (in addition to those who have already committed) to invest into the young lives within our church. If you are interested, please e-mail Connie Catron at email@example.com and ask her to send you a copy of the Student Small Group Leader Handbook. The handbook will give you a better understanding of how Student Small Groups operate and how to effectively lead.
