Financial Update

Thursday, June 30th, 2011 by Teresa Henderson

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse (church) that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this says the Lord of hosts, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”  Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)

 June 26, 2011

Weekly Requirement     $  52,460.00

Weekly Receipts            $  31,758.48

One of the ways we show Jesus that we love Him is by giving our tithes to His work.  Giving of our tithes is one way we worship our Lord.  Our tithes provide the funds to supply the needs of the church.

During the summer, our receipts fall short of our weekly requirement almost every week which causes a hardship in meeting the needs of the church.  If you are away for the summer, please consider using an electronic method for giving.  Two convenient ways to give while you are away are by Automatic Draft or by Online Giving.

Automatic Draft – we can draft your checking or savings account weekly, monthly or twice a month.  If this is the method of giving you prefer, please call the Business Administrator at 704-875-8374 for an authorization form.

Online Giving – Through Online Giving your donations can be given by either Virtual Check, Debit Card or Credit Card.  To use the Online Giving method, scroll your mouse over the Give tab on this web page and select either Online Giving or Member Login.  You should select “Member Login” if you are already a member of CCC.  If you are not yet a member of CCC, you should select “Online Giving.”  If you need help with Online Giving, please contact our Business Administrator at 704-875-8374.

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 by Jon Homesley

Welcome to Teacher Spotlight 1.2. From now until the beginning of the fall semester of Growing U I will be interviewing out GU teachers and posting the interviews here.

Leading our Mens Ministry is Hoang Drouin (He will explain how to pronounce his name in the interview). Hoang has been a great friend (and dentist) for many years. I am excited about his passion for the families at CCC. He’s a big dreamer, and would love to see you plugged in to Growing University.

1. Full Name:

Hoang Drouin….pronounced like the Spanish “JUAN”, I know it looks harder…but I promise, it’s not.

2. From:

Kentucky…OK, officially born in Vietnam…but raised in Kentucky.

3. Graduated from _________ High School.

“The” Tates Creek H.S.-1996….er, 1986

4. Favorite Candy Bar:

6. Favorite Book of the Bible and Character of the Bible:

David: God described him as “…a man after My own heart.” Acts 13:22…pretty cool, huh?

7. How has God used Growing U in your life:

INCREDIBLE!!!! God has used Growing U to shape, mold, and challenge me like never before!! Mens Fraternity, Financial Peace, Art of Marriage…all tools God has used to help do an “Extreme Make-Over” in who I am…and helping me define who I want to be!

8. Why should people take a Growing U Course:

As I have grown in Christ through these courses, God has opened my eyes to a far greater destination/goal than any course I could have ever set for myself. He has given me a glimpse of His “Greater Reward”!!

Thanks Hoang, for serving Christ by making disciples. Keep a sharp eye out as we begin official Growing University promotion in August! Our website www.growinguniversity.com will also launch in August!
